Curry Leaf Plant

Here are some of the curry leaf fruits containing seeds harvested from my mother's home grown curry leaf plant.

As one can see they are now very ripe with a dark purplish colour and if you look closer there is one with its skin peeled off a little showing some yellowish flesh.

Here is the cross section of the fruit. One can see the seeds and the flesh of the fruit.

The fruit is sweet and edible but one has to be careful of the seeds as they are poisonous.

This picture shows the fruits on the curry leaf plant. The reddish ones are unripe fruits while the dark purplish globes are very ripe fruits ready to be harvested.

The leaves are very fragrant and pungent to smell and taste.

We harvested the fruits and planted them into makeshift pots as seen below.

The picture on the left is our new curry leaf plant seedlings. Currently the pride and joy of our planting sessions.

They are the product of the harvested fruits and seeds from our mother's curry leaf plant.

It took them about 2 weeks to start sprouting out and now they are growing very well.
